FIRESIDE MULL
Natural Dried Apple Pieces (No sulphites), Honeybush, Cloves, Orange Peel, Cinnamon Bark, Ginger Root, Tumeric Root, Caramom, Nutmeg, Mama Hug.
Hot Mulled Cider Directions -
Place half a cup of Fireside Mull into a cotton mulling bag. If no bag, you can directly add the mix to a pan.
In a large pan, add the loose mix or bagged mix and pour 1 litre of apple juice. (Sweetened is most popular to use, but unsweetened is fine and add your choice of sweetner is desired).
Bring the juice and mix to a boil. Turn down and allow to simmer for 15 minutes minimum, longer is better nut this will concentrate the apple more, so you can add a little water if you wish. If you did not use a mulling bag, you will need to strain off the mix and place the liquid in a jug. Serve hot is recommended, but many like it when it is cool/cold too!
Hot Wine Directions.
Using about half a cup of mulling mix and 1.5 - 2 cups of water, bring the mixture to a gentle boil for 15 mins. Add one bottle of Red Wine. Bring gently up to a boil and turn off, letting it further soak for at least 30 mins. Add sweetner is desired of a dash of sweet vermooth adds a lovely dimension to the flavor. Serve hot.
