Dragonwell tea, also known as Longjing tea is named after the small now famous village of the same name, tucked in thepristine west hillside outside of Hanzou, China.
This unique green tea is created using a pan dried and fried method and has a very distinct flat small leaf and rich green color.
The flavor is sweet, smooth and slightly chestnutty.
Excellent as a digestive tea, we chose to also combine these leaves with Calendula petals, which like green tea, are packed with antioxidants.
Although this soothing tea is certainly wonderful at any time of day, we feel it is especially beneficial at snack or meal times.
Extra tip! Did you know that boiling water can disturb and 'burn' delicate green tea leaves, causing them to have a slightly bitter flavor? This tea, like all green tea is best brewed with hot water just under boiling point, around 185-195 F
